Sun Bars
Description
Sun bars are a rich tasting, high-protein breakfast bar made in your dehydrator that does not use milk, sugar or eggs.

| 4 | cups sunflower seeds, hulled
| | 1 | cup walnuts or almonds or pine nuts | | 2 | cups pitted dates
| | 2 | cups raisins or other dried fruit
| | 1 | cup honey
| | 1 | cup apple juice
| | 1 | tablespoon vanilla
| | 2 | teaspoons cinnamon
| | 2 | cups coconut (optional)

Methods/steps
- In blender or food processor, finely grind walnuts and sunflower seeds. Set aside.
- Chop dates into blender sized pieces.
- In blender, combine dates, honey, apple juice, cinnamon and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
- In large mixing bowl, mix nut mixture, raisins and date mixture. Mix well.
- Shape dough into 2" balls and roll in coconut. Slightly flatten and place on dehydrator tray.
- Dehydrate at 125°F to 130°F for 8-10 hours.
- After cooling store in airtight container or a vacuum sealed bag.
