Creole Herb Blend Seasoning


Description

Creole seasoning is used in many New Orleans restaurants, from Emeril's to Commander's Palace to K-Paul's.  It's not a universal seasoning, but it's a very versatile base upon which to build the seasoning of a dish.  It can also be used to give a little zing to your everyday cooking.

 tablespoons salt (less or more dependent on preference)
 2 tablespoons onion powder
 2 tablespoons garlic powder
 2 tablespoons dried oregano leaves
 2 tablespoons dried sweet basil
 1 tablespoon dried thyme leaves
 1 tablespoon black pepper
 1 tablespoon white pepper
 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (less or more dependent on preference)
 1 tablespoon celery seed
 5 tablespoons sweet paprika

Methods/steps

  1. Combine ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well blended.
  2. Put in air-tight container or tightly sealed jars.

Additional Tips

Great addition to your spice rack or give it away as gifts.
